All the above old items people sold at auction, and as you can see the amount they got for each one was very good. These are only a sample of items chosen from a couple categories to show that old things just might be worth collecting for future profits! Hit the yard sales, flea markets, thrift stores, but more importantly, eBay. Many auctions end with lower winning bids due to bad ads, poor pictures, words and titles spelled wrong, and people with no idea what they are selling.

Wood Cookstoves
As an Old Folk myself, I did cook on an old wood cook-stove many years ago with my paternal grandmother. I missed those days so much I went out and bought a wood cook stove exactly like my granny's and even used it a few times. My husband had never eaten food prepared in a slow cooking wood heated oven. He enjoyed it very much, but once I stopped missing the good old days, my stove became a glorified Watkins/Betty Crocker cook-book display rack! Those of you who have these books will find they really are the catalyst for many of the recipes found in modern day books. They came from an age of more simple times, less fuss and muss and good eating. I use mine and suggest trying a few of the recipes yourself.
Antiques You May Only See At Auction
Collectors know how to find a really good deal, and here is one of their tricks. Look at many more antiques to buy and re-sell for even higher profits, by taking advantage of others mistakes. Search for items using 'misspelled' keywords. (kettle, kettel). That is how you will find some of the best buys to add to your collections, or to resell.
