There are a lot of them still found at yard sales and home auctions, so if you have a chance, hit the sales. Your investment can easily double if not triple if they are in relatively good shape. Mine no longer are terrific because I chose to use mine years ago just to remind me of my grandparents. They are getting rather worn, but it is a nice comforting feeling to have something my mom or grand-mom had under our cup of coffee and good times spent.
There are tablecloths that do sell higher then others, but all sell if it is what the buyer wants. Two of the more favored are what many women called, 'fancy work', cloths. This included the cloths that required a great deal of embroidery work and also hardanger and other specialty stitches. 

The stamped or printed cloths were also a very popular cloth for its bright colors and cheerful designs. They still adorn my table, and when the reds came back in style, it was nearly impossible to find a replacement cloth in red. Sellers knew they were scarce and have found them to list. Watch for a good buy and be sure it is not so damaged you wont want to use it.

Many other tablecloths can also be found using Amazon, which is a fast growing contender of excellent buys online. Not all will be antique, or for that matter highly collectible. However, many will be well worth picking up for later value.
