made out of cast iron. Although many collect these just for show, there are also those who seek them out to use. Cast iron is one of the types of cookware that never wears out. Most often times it just needs a good cleaning and it will continue to serve the chef's cooking needs just fine.
When hunting down the old cast iron pots and pans, invest in a good sized stew pot. If it comes with a cover, grab it! The older ones with lids are not as easy to find anymore. These pots work for everything from a stew to one of the best tasting roasted chickens you ever ate.
