Buttons Are Worth A Lot Of Money
It is hard to believe my grandmothers old dress buttons could be worth such a huge amount, but matching them up to those which have sold on Ebay, I discovered they were worth a little over $100 each! Seven matching buttons would almost double the amount if I chose to sell them. What are they? Nothing all that special really, but to a collector, they are apparently worth a mint! They are glass and steel and only a small example of the buttons that I have yet to sort from the family's handed down button can. Now that's what you call saving for the future!
Buttons Are Worth A Lot of Money, and it's well worth repeating that sentence over and over again. If you don't think so, take a look at these buttons and then go to Ebay and take a look at all the types of collectible buttons I haven't mentioned here. If you are a clever collector, you will be able to find buttons on Ebay that sellers do not know are of value. They buy up jars of buttons or slap grandmas jar of buttons on without ever looking to see if there are any of value simply because they just haven't thought of buttons having any value. They are garage sale Ebayers who do not take the time to learn about what they are selling. Your Gain!
The buttons chosen were not picked to show you high sales. These were buttons listed one after the other and sold minute after minute. To help you get started in collecting buttons, I've added the type or gener of button and the 'sold at' price.
